Special Report – Homepin / Thunderbirds Are Go Pinball

The other week I got a chance to visit Mike
from Homepin at his factory in Shenzhen China.
When you get a new one put a hole here.
Hi, Mike here from Homepin.
We started a factory here in Shenzhen about
3 years ago to mainly build pinball machines.
We’ve been making genuine Hankin reproduction
video game tables in the meantime.
We’re getting ready for our first newly released
pinball machine Thunderbirds Are Go which
we’ll hopefully be shipping out this factory
in six months.
Homepin started producing a licensed Hankins
cabinets games 3 years ago, and within 6 months,
Mike plans on putting out his first run of
licensed Thunderbirds pinball tables.
You can see how busy and focused everyone
is.
And they need to be because Mike is not cutting
any corners when it comes to quality.
Absolutely, we’re doing everything we can.
There are certain things we can’t do.
Everything we can do we absolutely do here
so we can control the quality and so we don’t
have to order extraordinary quantities.
Which is always a problem if you want to start
outside.
I had a lot of problems getting them made
to the quality we want.
…nut weld… nut and bolt…
In shenzhen you know you gotta keep all of
your flammable goods away.
I was impressed by how many of their owns
parts and pieces they’re producing.
And since Mike overseas every single thing,
we know that tables are going to have the
finest artwork, mechanics, and gameplay.
Just a one-off model, in clay or something,
then we can take it from there and use our
vacuum forming machine to make the parts or
whatever.
And the attention to detail that goes into
the process is humbling, and their facilities
was really nice and even contains a western
toilet.
Along with mold injectors, glass heaters,
you name it.
And you could tell Mike is passionate about
what he does.
And the bottom of the boards you put them
there, cuts the leaves off the
print circuitboards.
Even though the traffic is crazy over here.
I was really glad I got the chance to visit
Homepin.
And I’ll be looking forward to the long awaited
launch of
Thunderbirds Are Go pinball coming soon.
